Definitions

Matching Funds: These budgeted funds are used with the special offerings. The operating budget of the church provides only part of the support for mission outreach. A portion of our mission effort is funded by monthly special offerings. Members of the congregation can thus directly support particular mission projects to the extent they wish. The Missions Team selects recipient projects from those we support directly through the mission budget. These matching funds allow the Mission Team to match the donations made by the congregation. We currently use fluids fur each of our monthly special offerings. Special Mission projects are selected to receive $500 to $1,000 in matching funds.
