About Our Nursery Ministry
- Nursery care is provided for newborns through pre-kindergarten children on Sunday mornings and at other times when church programing necessitates, e.g., Wednesday evenings.
- Two age-appropriate nurseries may be provided. The “Infant Nursery” is for young children under 24 months of age, while the “Toddler Nursery” is for children 2 years through pre-kindergarten.
- Childcare is not provided for older children (kindergarten and above). Please don’t ask!
- Older children (kindergarten & above) cannot be permitted in the nursery when childcare is being provided nor may they “roam the halls” without adult supervision.
- Children must be signed in and out of the nursery by a parent or guardian.
- Any child signed in will never be left unattended.
- Reasonable, firm, and loving limits shall be placed on children. Parents will be notified regarding severe or chronic behavior problems.
- A minimum of one adult will staff each nursery accompanied by a volunteer. Volunteers may include teenage youth. No more than one youth volunteer will be present when childcare is being provided.
- As weather permits, the toddler nursery may have outside playtime. Every attempt will be made to have children back inside for parental pick-up.
- Out of respect for the other families that utilize the nursery, we are unable to provide child care for children who are ill.
- In the event of a child becoming ill while in the nursery, the parents will be notified immediately.
- We request parents please pick up children in a timely fashion when a church function is completed.
