Last week we began a five week series of sermon messages on the Biblical letter I John. (This is "follow up" to last year's January-to-June series of messages on the Gospel of John.)

Verses 12-14 A poetic interlude emphasizing the Gospel's inclusivity

Verses 15-17 Set your sights on God, not the world

Verses 18-23 Warnings against denying Jesus (as "antichrists" do)

Verses 24-27 Further admonitions to persevere for Christ

Verses 28-29 Be ready for His return; continue in righteousness
