One of the main activities for the children involves several stations which center around the story If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. They will need about 200 cookies (about 17 dozen). If you can make several dozen cookies it would be greatly appreciated. Please sign up at the back of the narthex and take a direction sheet. •The cookies may be any kind but must avoid tree nuts, peanuts and peanut butter. •Wrap each one individually in plastic wrap or place one cookie/sandwich bag. •Place them in the church freezer by 5:00 PM Thursday, October 29, so they may be delivered before the event.

Our next book is "My Side of the River" by Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez. Our discussion will be November 18th at 10 a.m. The book is a deeply moving memior about the of a first-generation Mexican-American who is separated from her Mexicanimmigrant parents at the age of fifteen. Her harrowing, tumultuouis journey from a childhood of poverty, to a homeless, food-insure teen, to the Ivy League and beyond, is empowering and insipirational. Our clubhouse knitters meet on Mondays at Ridge Park Clubhouse. We invite all knitters and crocheters to bring a project and join us for fellowship as we work together on our projects.

Join us after worship as we explore how we respond to stress. We will take a look at characters in the Bible as see how they handled stress. Phillip Ortega will lead us in this study.

We will decorate the sanctuary for the Advent season after worship at 11:15 a.m. All are welcome to join us to help decorate. Food will be provided.

We have a group of people who go down to McCurdy one each month to volunteer. We sort clothing, level books, whatever they need help with. You are welcome to join us each month, we meet in the church parking lot at 1 p.m. and then head back to Los Alamos about 4 p.m.
