On September 9, 1951, 231 people gathered together to add their names to the charter forming First Methodist Church in Los Alamos under the direction of Rev. James Clifton Sproul.

On the 75th anniversary of our founding, we are celebrating the past 75 years and also preparing and planning for the next 75 years.

We have several events happening over the year. We will update more information as they are available. We also encourage you to share your memories and/or photos of your time participating in this congregation.

Rev. Jim Hawk, Rev. David Ring, Susan Dickens, widow of Rev. Barry Dickens, Rev. Steve Trout, and Rev. Ross Whiteacker, current District Superintendent, will be in attendance.

Special room rates are available for the weekend at the Holiday Inn in Los Alamos. Rates are $149 a night for September 4-7th and can be reserved by calling the Holiday Inn directly at 505-661-2646 and requesting the rate for First United Methodist Church.
